Cardplayer Lifestyle would like to congratulate Yuval Bronshtein on his deep run in the World Series of Poker Main Event this year. Yuval made it all the way to Day 7 before busting out in 23rd place. His performance netted him almost $300,000 for his largest career cash. Yuval was kind enough to grant us an exclusive audio interview that you can listen to below.
We asked him a number of questions about his Main Event experience over the last week and a half, such as “What it’s like to play 7 straight 12 hour days of tournament poker?” and “Would you attribute your deep run more to luck or to skill?”. Yuval also let us know his pick is to win it all when the final table resumes in late October, based on having sat with most of those players in person.
Enjoy the interview (Also, major thanks to my brother Marty for his expert technical assistance!):
Notably, after a couple years online, this marks our first ever interview with a professional poker player. We realize that some of the most interesting stories in poker are remembered specifically because of the players involved. With that in mind, hopefully, from now on, we’ll be doing some more legwork to try and get interviews with more professional poker players. Wouldn’t it be amazing if some day we could interview some of the game’s legends and WSOP Main Event champions? Also, while this was basically an audio interview, hopefully in the future we’ll be able to bring you some poker video interviews as well. Ah, to dream…
Finally, just to note, yesterday was Yuval’s 28th birthday. So, from all of us here at Cardplayer Lifestyle, happy birthday and enjoy your winnings! Maybe I’ll get to meet you someday, sir!
Shalom!
