A couple weeks ago, on July 20, the highly anticipated WPT Summer Festival kicked off on the WPT Global platform with guaranteed prize pools of over $3,500,000.
Two of the biggest and most important events of the festival are still to be fully played out: the “$1 for 1 Million” and the Main Event, which also carries a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000.
$1 for 1 Million
Would you like to invest as little as $1 to try to win part of a $1,000,000 prize pool? This tournament started on July 20 and initial rounds have been being played on Wednesdays and Sundays. The top 13% of players from each preliminary flight move on to Day 2, which will be played on August 21. That day, play will continue until it reaches the final eight players. The following day, August 22nd, the final table will be live streamed and broadcast on the WPT Twitch channel.

The Main Event
The final event of the WPT Global Summer Series is also the most prestigious: the Main Event. It will have a $330 buy-in and a huge $1M guaranteed prize pool. There will be multiple starting days from August 12 with the top 20% of each day’s field advancing to Day 2. On August 21, Day 2 will take place and will be played down to the final table. The final eight players will return on August 22nd to define the grand champion.
