Bidibot – An Original, Inexpensive, and Exciting Way to Build an Online Poker Bankroll

Why pay the full price of entering online poker tournaments when you can win your seat for cheap in an auction?! That’s the premise behind Bidibot.com.

Bidibot Main Page

Just when you thought the online poker world had seen every possible new innovation, here comes a young new company, Bidibot, that manages to introduce something new, fun, and exciting to online poker players. At its core, Bidibot is a penny auction site. Bidibot makes the concept appeal to online poker players by auctioning off something every poker player wants – online poker cash and tournament tickets. The way the auctions work is that every bid placed increases the final auction price by 1, 5, or 10 cents and adds 30 seconds to the auction countdown clock. The final bid when the clock runs out is the winner.

Bidibot appears to have agreements in place with many of the big online poker sites, including PokerStars, UB, 888, Absolute Poker, Betfair Poker, Victory Poker, and more. Just for opening an account at Bidibot, you’ll get 10 free bids. You only actually pay for 2 things: buying a bid package directly from the site or if you win an auction.

Buying Bids

Bid PackagesYou can purchase bid packs directly from Bidibot – which generally work out to $1 per bid. The bigger the bid pack, the more free bids Bidibot gives you = $50 gets you 50 bids + 5 bids free. At the moment, Bidibot is even offering a 100% bonus on all bid packages purchased worth more than $50. That means you’ll pay $50 and get 50+5+50 bids; great value.

Free Bid Auction

If you prefer to not have to shell out larger amounts of money to purchase bid packages, you can actually bid for free on bid packages and win them for less than they’d cost on the site. For example, biding on a $50 bid package will start at $1 – since bidding is free it will often go up to approximately $20 or $30, but that would mean a final price of about $30 for a package of 50 bids – again, great value.

Every so often, Bidibot offers special prizes up for auction, like XBoxes and tickets to live poker events. Currently, the site advertises a Casino section and Sports section as well (coming soon), so I imagine they’re in negotiations with various online casinos and sports books to auction off appropriately themed prizes.

What about the Bots?

Then there’s the “bot” part. Bidibot allows you to program a bot that makes bids for you. You can plug in min. and max. prices and every time someone outbids you, you’ll automatically have a higher bid placed for you. Just note that this method is likely to eat up your bids much more quickly than if you place them yourself without the bot. During an auction, you can see if you’re bidding against “users” or their bots. Some auctions do not allow bots to place bids.

Cardplayer Lifestyle Review of Bidibot.com

Okay, so having reread everything I’ve written till now, I realize that I practically sound like a spokesperson for the company instead of a poker blogger, lol. The bottom line is, I tried it and IT WORKS. The concept is very revolutionary to me and I really enjoyed the fun of bidding, knowing I could win great online poker prizes. I managed to win a couple auctions, went through the payment procedures, and everything worked smoothly. Whenever I had any trouble, I opened up a support chat window and received EXCELLENT service; they answered all of my questions and they’re native speakers of English!

Recommendations: Having gone through some auctions, here are some tips – use Mozilla or Chrome, as sometimes Internet Explorer has some problems with the site. Also, don’t waste bids – pay attention to whether you’re bidding against a preprogrammed bot or a live person and pace yourself – there are likely lots of people “lurking” to place bids at the last second (then again, there might not be anyone besides you lurking, so be sure to get your bid in before the clock strikes zero)!

At the moment, Bidibot allows you to pay for won or purchased items via Neteller as well as via debit or credit card. Currencies accepted include USD, GBP, and EUR, although I imagine as time passes Bidibot will allow for more payment options. Very notably, this means that Bidibot, intentionally or unintentionally, has created a new way for online poker players from countries that make it difficult to deposit (e.g., the US and Israel) to win cash and tournament tickets on different online poker sites and be able to build a bankroll and play.

The only downside is that after paying for your prize, you have to wait up to 2 business days to receive it. Hopefully the people at the site will work on shaving this waiting time period down a bit.

So after everything you’ve read, I bet you’re dying to start bidding, right? Well, before you do, make sure you send an email to [email protected] and mention that you heard about their site from the Cardplayerlifestyle.com poker blog. There’s something in it for you :-)!

Happy bidding!
