In a shocking development, Full Tilt Poker has had its eGambling license suspended indefinitely by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC). Ordering them to cease operations immediately, all activity on Full Tilt Poker did just that; it just stopped! Whether they were in the middle of a big hand or on the verge of winning a tournament, Full Tilt Poker players worldwide witnessed the end of the site in real time.
The AGCC furthermore ordered Full Tilt Poker to stop registering new players, allowing new deposits, and permitting any game play. The AGCC’s decision reportedly followed a special investigation they undertook in light of the US Department of Justice’s Black Friday indictments.
The only potential silver lining here: players with funds on Full Tilt Poker are to be allowed to withdraw funds from their accounts, but given that Full Tilt Poker has yet to pay back its U.S. players, who knows how long the remaining player base will have to wait to receive their money?!
