In this episode of The Bernard Lee Poker Show on the Cardplayer Lifestyle Podcast Family, Bernard Lee concludes his exclusive interview with Koray Aldemir, the 2021 WSOP Main Event Champion.

At the start of this week’s interview, Koray discusses his prior history in the WSOP, including the possibility and importance of winning a WSOP bracelet. He talks about his lack of live poker tournaments due to the COVID-19 pandemic and anticipating success at the 2021 WSOP. Koray discusses traveling to Mexico and then Canada prior to 2021 WSOP in order to enter the US to play. Koray talks about 2021 WSOP events, which were primarily min-cashes (he was down money entering the 2021 WSOP Main Event) and an injury he sustained while playing soccer. Finally, the 2021 WSOP Main Event champion talks about the days leading up the final table.

During the conclusion of the exclusive interview, Koray admits the pressure he felt during the days leading up to the final table. Koray talks about the strategy entering the 2021 WSOP Main Event final table, including the incremental pay jumps early on. Bernard and Koray discuss the critical hand four-handed that almost resulted in a double elimination. Finally, Koray recounts playing heads-up versus George Holmes for four hours, especially the epic final hand.
