In this episode of The Bernard Lee Poker Show on the Cardplayer Lifestyle Podcast Family, Bernard Lee interviews Gershon Distenfeld, 2021 WSOP $1,500 Shootout No-Limit Hold’em Champion.

At the start of the interview, Gershon discusses how he got interested in the world of poker. The New Jersey native talks about how he improved his poker game to become a bracelet winner, playing online in NJ during the pandemic, and his recent move to Florida. Also, Gershon discusses his experience leading up to and during the 2020 WSOP Hybrid Main Event, US bracket.

During the second part of the interview, Gershon talks about some strategies for playing the Shootout No-Limit Hold’em tournaments. Gershon recalls the 2021 WSOP $1,500 Shootout No-Limit Hold’em final table, including the grueling four-hour heads-up battle. Gershon also talks about other events he played at the 2021 WSOP.
