Here at the Cardplayer Lifestyle poker blog we usually cover the more major issues going on in the poker world. That being said, here’s a summary of some of the other “smaller stuff” that’s been going on recently in the poker world.
You gotta admit, the people at UB have been pretty busy lately. With Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke recently departing from the UB stable, the online poker room has made a move towards showcasing a younger group of online poker pros, most notably new company front man Joe Sebok. This week, however, UB shocked the poker world when it signed WSOP bracelet winner Prahlad Friedman to an endorsement deal.
Two of the biggest names in poker, Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke, have announced that they have severed business ties with UB. Notoriously in the news over the last few years for corruption scandals (which led to the rebranding of UltimateBet as UB in the first place), UB no longer has any of its inaugural pros left in its stable of poker players.
