SportsEntertainmentTours.com teams up with Card Player Cruises

New Irish Travel Start-up links up with world’s leading poker cruise provider for unique offering

SportsEntertainmentTours.com have teamed up with U.S.-based Card Player Cruises to bring a unique offering to poker enthusiasts across the UK and Ireland.

These highly sought after and unique Poker Cruises will start with departures in January 2022. SportsEntertainmentTours will be offering clients a complete travel package with flights, poker cruise, transfers, insurance and hotel if guests would like to make their trip into a cruise and stay or stay and cruise option. After a more than year-long hiatus, this marks a return to the high seas for Card Player Cruises, which has been in business for nearly 30 years, serving thousands of poker enthusiasts the world over.

SportsEntertainmentTours Director John Boyde said “We believe these cruises will give clients a brand-new offering whereby they can visit many different cities, have the luxury of the cruise life and then feel like they are in a Las Vegas style casino by night.”

All cruises will be aboard Royal Caribbean’s magnificent fleet of ships. On board the ship, only guests booked through Card Player Cruises or SportsEntertainmentTours.com will have exclusive access to the poker room. The poker room is staffed with professional dealers, managers, and tournament directors. The same rules are followed as any standard Las Vegas cardroom including Tournament Director Association (TDA) rules for tournaments.

The poker room opens at 9 a.m. on sea days and is closed during first seating of dinner and while in port. Card Player Cruises will release a full poker schedule including tournaments and cash games for every cruise.

The first cruise will be departing from Miami on January 22 for 7 nights, aboard the amazing Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas, with multiple additional cruises slated to be on offer during the remainder of 2022.

Also participating in the cruises will be Card Player Cruises partners Poker Hall of Famer Linda Johnson and Women in Poker Hall of Famer Jan Fisher. The pair take part in numerous activities with fellow cruisers including offering poker lessons, sharing poker stories from their decades in the industry, and of course poker play itself.

Boyde added, “We are delighted to be teaming up with the world’s number one Poker Cruise provider. Although poker may be a niche interest for many, these cruises offer the chance to see some amazing places throughout the world, including sailings in the Caribbean, Hawaii and Alaska, all the while, enjoying some top-quality poker action. SportsEntertainmentTours are really looking forward to offering our clients this really interesting and unique product.”

Tina Napolitano, CEO of Card Player Cruises, said “We are looking forward to returning to the open seas and working with SportsEntertainmentTours. Guests on our poker cruises enjoy the best poker action at sea and many lifelong friendships are made on our cruises. Originally from the UK, my husband Mark and I have been looking for a partner to offer our cruises to customers in the UK and Ireland. SportsEntertainmentTours is exactly the kind of company we were looking for. “
