In this episode of The Bernard Lee Poker Show on the Cardplayer Lifestyle Podcast Family, Bernard Lee continues to celebrate Women’s History Month by interviewing Kyna England, 2021 MSPT Player of the Year.
At the start of the interview, Kyna discusses her breakthrough year in 2021 which resulted in her winning 2021 MSPT Player of the Year. She talks about how she initially got into poker and how she started playing and coaching poker full-time in 2018. Kyna discusses how she made the jump from bar leagues to playing in big tournaments. She also recalls her initial expectation as she began 2020 and how it steamrolled after her 3rd place MSPT main event in Riverside, Iowa. Then, Kyna recalls her surreal run at the 2021 WPT Venetian main event, where she finished 3rd for almost $450,000.
