This week Jim Reid and the RecPoker RECing Crew interview Shimpei Adachi, a recreational player from Japan who has lived and played online in Canada for several years. Shimpei has grown a YouTube following as he chronicles his poker journey. He starts the interview by sharing some details about how poker is viewed in Japan, and how the social and political landscapes are slowly changing there to allow poker to become a more accepted pastime.
The panel then talks about adapting to different player pools, common mistakes less-experienced players make at the tables, and how studying has changed over the years. Shimpei then offers some tips for folks getting started on their poker journey and those making their way as a streamer or content producer!
We also play Stake/Study Stack with Masashi Oya, Tsugunari Toma and Masato Yokosawa and we Close The Action with our speed round. Plus we give away a free prize at the end for folks in the YouTube chat. Join us LIVE on YouTube next Monday at 7:30 ET for free to ask our guests questions in real time, and you can win too!
