It’s a banner day for us here at Cardplayer Lifestyle, as we proudly announce the formation of a new poker podcast family with two founding member shows: The Bernard Lee Poker Show and the Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast. The collaboration of these two popular poker podcasts marks the start of the podcast family, and announcements of additional podcasts are forthcoming later this year. As of today, each newly-produced episode will be featured on this website, with exclusive recaps and timestamps.

Cardplayer Lifestyle Podcast Family

There are lots of different niches in poker. Some folks like the industry news. Some people enjoy home game poker talk. Others like interviews with the game’s top players. These days in poker media, there’s enough content being produced tailored to everyone’s tastes. The goal of this podcast family venture is to increase exposure to all member shows and broaden the overall audience. The Bernard Lee Poker Show and Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast target different sectors of the poker-loving public, and we’ll be adding at least a couple new podcasts into the fold such that our family of shows can reach the largest audience possible as well as expose that audience to as wide a variety of audio content as possible.

Bringing Top Pair, the show I’ve co-hosted with Bruce Briggs for over 5.5 years, onto this site is essentially a no-brainer. Joining forces with Bernard Lee — a veteran poker playing and poker media professional and someone with whom I’ve collaborated numerous times over the years — is a win-win situation if there ever was one. I’m thrilled to get this joint venture off the ground and can’t wait to share with you which shows will be next to join the Cardplayer Lifestyle Podcast Family in the near future.

I am extremely excited to join the Cardplayer Lifestyle Poker Podcast Family. The Bernard Lee Poker Show started almost 13 years ago in Boston and now we are heard all over the world via radio, podcast and online. We will continue delivering in-depth interviews with poker superstars and industry legends. We thank all of our loyal listeners and thoroughly enjoy producing our show week after week.  I look forward to bringing many, many more shows to the Cardplayer Lifestyle Poker Podcast Family!

I’m very glad that Top Pair is slated to be part of this new family,” said the podcast’s founder and co-host Bruce Briggs. “Over the course of our 10-year, almost 350-episode-long, history, we’ve strived to cater our show to weekend warriors, poker enthusiasts, and of course home game players and hosts. We have a very loyal audience and I look forward to seeing it grow further as part of this initiative.

About the Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast

Hosting and playing in a home poker game presents a unique set of circumstances as far as equipment, recruiting and vetting players, stakes and games to play, security, what is expected of players and hosts, rule situations, tools to recruit for and organize the game, how to find a game or find players and countless other topics. These, as well as home game-themed interviews with some of poker’s brightest stars, form the basis of what’s discussed on each episode of the Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast. The show was co-created by Eric Nelson and Bruce Briggs in 2010 and I’ve been co-hosting the show along with Bruce since June 2014.
