The Venue
The Casino di Sanremo first opened in 1905 under the name of Kurzaal and was managed by the architect Eugene Ferret. Activities at the casino included parties, shows, concerts, and games of chance. In December 1927, the casino was renamed Casino di San Remo and authorized to offer legal gambling. The official opening of the casino occurred on January 21, 1928 with a grand gala night.
The casino stands at 18 Corso Inglesi, in the heart of the city. It is connected to Piazza Colombo by the Via Matteotti pedestrian street, which is ideal for shopping, culture, and entertainment.
