Founded in 2009, Cardplayer Lifestyle has earned a stellar reputation in the industry and among fans for being a top poker entertainment, information, and strategy destination.
We publish interviews with top poker personalities, top-notch poker strategy articles and poker training site reviews, thought-provoking poker op-eds, and engaging poker lifestyle pieces. We also feature coverage of top-tier live poker events and festivals, like the World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour, PokerStars Players’ Championship, Malta Poker Festival, 888poker LIVE festivals, EPT, Unibet Open, and more, as well as stories about fascinating lesser-known happenings in the poker world that casual fans don’t always get to hear about.
Our Founder – Robbie Strazynski
Known throughout the poker community for his media work, Robbie lives the “cardplayer lifestyle” that this poker media site promotes. He started playing poker “around the kitchen table” when he was eight years old, and has enjoyed live and online poker games since turning 21.
Cardplayer Lifestyle was a “nights and weekends” side pursuit for him, while he was working full-time in the online gaming industry from 2010-2017, until he decided to make the leap to self-employment and work in poker media full-time.
Robbie has hosted a number of poker podcasts over the years, including the CardsChat podcast (2021-2023), The Orbit roundtable poker discussion show (2020-2022), the Red Chip Poker Podcast (2019), and the Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast (2014-2020).
Robbie served as the translator (from Hebrew to English) for Eli Elezra‘s autobiography, entitled Pulling the Trigger, which was published in January 2019.
Finally, Robbie has raised tens of thousands of dollars over the years for worthy causes via his Running Well campaign, which won the 2018 Global Poker Award for Charitable Initiative of the Year, and through organizing many successful charity poker events.

Cardplayer Lifestyle’s Mixed Game Festival
In October 2021, we held our inaugural Mixed Game Festival live event at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Since that time, we’ve held numerous additional Mixed Game Festivals at Resorts World Las Vegas (both at Resorts World and at the Bellagio) and one at Malta’s Portomaso Casino.
The popular 4- to 10-day long festivals feature dealer’s choice cash games, tournaments, book signings, guest appearances by poker legends and popular poker media personalities, merchandise giveaways, and more. On top of all that, we’ve also given away over $100,000 worth of Grand Prizes sponsored by some of the biggest poker operators, including the World Poker Tour, PokerStars, BetMGM, the PokerGO Tour, the Moneymaker Tour, and more.
