History of Run It Once Training

Run It Once was founded by poker legend Phil Galfond in 2012 together with his close friend, Dan Quinn. To quote Phil directly: “Our mission statement when we launched Run It Once was to be the first class cabin of poker training…Run It Once is here to help. We’re here to help you improve your poker fundamentals, to work on your mental game, to get you to beat games that you never thought that you’d sit in. We’re here to make you better.”

They’ve stayed true to this mission statement since their inception. The competition in the poker training landscape has gotten tougher since then but Run It Once remains at the top of the industry. There are thousands of members and the company boasts a roster of over 170 coaches featuring many of the biggest names in the poker world, including three of the top five earning tournament players of all time. The current Run It Once roster has combined for close to $500 million in tournament earnings and has notched 41 World Series of Poker bracelets!

The company releases two new videos daily and — talk about consistency! — they have done so without fail for over a decade. The brand prides itself on quality and accessibility, with videos focusing on a wide range of poker game types, topics, and stakes, and with translated captions available in eight languages on all new videos.
