The 2025 Women’s Poker Week officially kicked off at 11 a.m. at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas on Tuesday, June 17th, launching a highly anticipated series of events dedicated to women in poker. Over the next several days, a number of tournaments and festivities for women will be held at multiple venues throughout the city, culminating in a week-long celebration of the game. Cardplayer Lifestyle, in partnership with the Women’s Poker Association (WPA), will be live, on-site for many of the Women’s events this week to provide complete coverage of the action as it unfolds.
Golden Nugget Ladies Championship: Payouts, Final Table, and Winner
With 116 entries at a $300 buy-in, the prize pool in the Golden Nugget Ladies Championship grew to $28,356, easily surpassing the $20,000 guarantee. Payouts were awarded to the top 15 finishers, with a minimum cash prize of $637 and a first-place prize of $8,350.
The prestigious WPA trophy was awarded to June Jenkins of Canada, who claimed the top spot. Jenkins, also a skilled mixed games player, recently cashed in both the $600 No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha event and the $500 No-Limit Hold’em SALUTE to Warriors tournament.
