On January 21, 1928, it was named Casino Sanremo and authorized by the state for gambling practices.

Numerous marquee events have been held there in the past, such as the International Chess Tournament in 1930, and a large number of films were filmed there as well. The casino stands at 18 Corso Inglesi, in the heart of the city. It is connected to Piazza Colombo by the Via Matteotti pedestrian street, which is a great place to take in the local shopping, culture, and entertainment.

The City of Sanremo, Italy

Sanremo is located on the Mediterranean coast, in the northwest of the country. It is the largest city in the province of Liguria and the fourth largest in the region, behind Genoa, La Spezia and Savona. The border with France is only 20 kilometers away.

Sanremo

It is the venue for notable events such as the Carnival of Flowers, the Sanremo Song Festival, the finish line of the Milan-Sanremo cycle race and the Sanremo rally. Other local attractions are the medieval old town, nicknamed “La Pigna” for its characteristic shape, the flower market and the San Remo Casino, one of the four authorized in Italy.
