High-stakes cash games were spotted in the VIP Arena at CoinPoker as the Global Online Poker Championship continues, with tables filling up again almost exactly a year after some of the site’s most talked-about sessions. A High Stakes Poker in Las Vegas giveaway worth over $100,000 was also announced in collaboration with PokerGO.

PLO Tables See Renewed Action At CoinPoker’s Highest Stakes
Cash game traffic on CoinPoker has picked up in recent days, with high-stakes Pot-Limit Omaha tables seeing regular action through the middle of the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC).
A player called BTCdemon was spotted at the $1,000/$2,000 VIP Arena tables on August 25th, facing off against Barak ‘iWasOnly17’ Wisbrod first, then joined by Chris ‘Lukabrate’ Nguyen, Hazeslip, Trance, and Firefox.

Previous Cash Game World Champion Owen ‘PR0DIGY’ Messere also got into the mix, and faced an over-pot-sized bluff from BTCdemon, who had just Jack-high.
One of BTCdemon’s hands ended in a $1.1 million pot, where Lukabrate’s pocket Kings lost to rivered trip Queens after a preflop all-in.

Jared Bleznick has been among the players on the VIP Arena tables, taking on PencilArms at both $500/$1,000 and $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha.
Poker commentator Emil (@EmilTheRaccoon) flagged the pair’s return to the tables on August 24th, calling Bleznick and PencilArms “two legends at work” as they battled it out at $200/$400.

The two squared off in similarly high-stakes sessions on CoinPoker last year, and their return to the tables comes as cash game activity at the site’s higher limits builds again.
Timing Lines Up With Last Year’s Biggest Pots
CoinPoker marked the timing directly, noting that the current run of action falls close to the anniversary of some of the platform’s largest recorded cash game stacks.

Bleznick built a stack of around $1,500,000 playing cash games on CoinPoker at this time last year, one of the sessions the platform has pointed to as among the biggest cash game action it has seen.
Watching the pair back at it this week, Emil summed up the throwback feeling in a follow-up post: “I remember these games. Sick is probably the only word describing those stakes.”
