Ron is a small business owner in a non-military field that can bring him face to face with many armed people who are unhappy to see him. He has been playing strategic board games since he was a teenager but once he discovered poker in the Moneymaker era, he never looked back. Making a royal flush in his first poker tournament ever solidified his thinking that it is better to be lucky than good. After getting crushed at NLHE while he was still learning, he transitioned into the dying art of limit hold’em. There he could raise with reckless abandon and lose or gain racks of chips at an alarming pace.
As those games dried up, he started learning mixed games. First with HORSE and then on to any and every crazy variant he encounters. In 2016, he won a Binglaha tournament at the EMBARGO poker festival. The following year, he won the coveted BARGE Pot Limit Omaha tournament and in response, he wrote a tongue-in-cheek poker book detailing his strategy at winning Omaha tournaments. Though he never sold a copy of the book, he was surprised that over the next few years he won Pot Limit Omaha/PLO8 and Chowaha tournaments at ARG events, so he has proclaimed himself the first quad crown champion and best all around Omaha player. The delusions persist.
