Women’s Poker Week 2025 continued on June 18 with its second event, a lively 2 p.m. kickoff at the MGM Grand poker room in Las Vegas. The week-long celebration will take the ladies to more than half a dozen poker stops throughout the city. Cardplayer Lifestyle, in partnership with the Women’s Poker Association (WPA), will be on-site to cover many of the events and share highlights as the action unfolds.

Momoka Sawada from Japan bested a field of 136 ladies to win the top prize of $7,580. The total prize pool generated was $27,180, and nine places were paid, which exceeded the $20,000 guarantee. All the winners received a fabulous swag bag from the Women’s Poker Association to accompany their cash prizes. Coming in second place was a Las Vegas local, Kate Enright, cashing out a cool $4,735, and in third place was 2023 WPA player of the year, Chris Read, with a prize of $2,855.

2025 Women’s Poker Week: Upcoming Events
Friday, June 20th, South Point Casino will be hosting a pair of Ladies’ events:
- 10 a.m., the $200 Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) No Limit Hold’em (NLHE) Mini Main, and
- 2 p.m., the $180 LIPS World Series of Poker & LIPS Survivor Satellite
Additionally, the Venetian will be hosting its $300 NLHE Milestone Satellite to the Women in Poker High Roller, with three seats guaranteed, at 7:10 p.m.
Saturday, June 21st, South Point Casino will be hosting another event:
- 10:10 a.m., $200 LIPS Mini Main
As well, the Orleans Casino will be hosting a tournament at 11:05 a.m.
- $600 Ladies Championship with a 50k guarantee.
The Venetian will host an evening game at 7:10 p.m.
