Bucharest will host the 888poker LIVE circuit from March 16-24

After passing through Madrid, the 888poker LIVE circuit will be played in Bucharest from March 16 to 24 in the 888poker Poker Room. The festival in the capital and most populated city of Romania will have 9 events and the Main Event will have a €560 entry. As usual, several 888poker ambassadors will be present and the action of the Main Event can be followed with Live Streaming.

The 888poker LIVE Bucharest Main Event

The most important tournament of the festival will begin on March 20 with a buy-in of €560 and players will be able to choose between 4 initial days to try to advance to Day 2. This will be the schedule:

• Day 1A: Wednesday, March 20 at 5 PM
• Day 1B: Thursday, March 21 at 5 PM
• Day 1C: Friday, March 22 at 3 PM
• Day 1D Turbo: Friday, March 22 at 9 PM
• Day 2: Saturday, March 23 at 5 PM
• Day 3: Sunday, March 24 at 3 PM

A total of 9 events will be played with tickets ranging from €65 to €1,100 High Roller. There will also be 4 satellites played for the Main Event that will cost €88. This is the complete day-by-day festival schedule:

Ambassadors Lucia Navarro and Ian Simpson talk about the festival

We contacted two 888poker ambassadors who will be present in Bucharest to tell us more details about the festival. This is what Ian Simpson told us about his expectations and what debut players and satellite winners can expect: “I love the city, so I’m hoping to get some time to enjoy the culture and food as well as playing. I’m really yearning for another deep run in an 888 LIVE event. There’s nothing like the excitement of a deep run in a live MTT. Debut players will get the chance to visit a new and exciting city whilst getting to enjoy an amazing poker schedule”.

The spanish Lucia Navarro already managed to win a secondary event in Bucharest and will seek to repeat this year: “I really want to achieve a new final table in this edition. I remember that last year a large group of spaniards gathered together during the final table. A Despite it being one of the smallest tournaments I won, I enjoyed it and was very happy to win it. The Poker Room in Bucharest is very cozy and has an underground style that is very cool. I couldn’t recommend places to see in Bucharest, since I was only there at the Hotel and the Poker Room, but this year I will try to make some free time to get to know the city”.

Past editions

Last year’s edition featured 7 events that were won by players from Romania, Spain and England. One of the side events, The Big Shot, was won by 888poker ambassador Lucia Navarro, who took home a prize of almost €4K. The Main Event had 191 entries for €888 and distributed €138K in prizes. The champion was local Viorel Gavrila, who won a prize of €30K.
