Poker is one of the most popular card games in the world, and it can be played in many different ways, as dozens of variations of poker exist today.

While most poker games are social games designed to be played among players, a number of casino poker games are available as well, and can now be found at US online casinos.

You can head on over to any Michigan online casino and find at least one poker table where you can play this popular card game against the house.

But which versions of casino poker are actually available, how do you play them, and what are the differences?

This is a short guide to the most popular casino poker games in the US and the basic rules of these cool poker variations.

#1 – Casino Hold’em Poker

Casino Hold’em Poker might just be the most popular version of poker played against the house. A big reason for that is its apparent resemblance to the game of Texas Hold’em Poker.

This game does share a lot with Texas Hold’em, including the way cards are dealt, and the way you make your poker hand.

However, Casino Hold’em Poker is played between a player and a dealer, without too much betting and raising going on, and without any option to bluff.

Instead, you will post a single Ante bet, a single Raise bet, and a single Bonus bet (if you choose to), and your hand will be compared to the dealer’s at showdown.

You can win money on your Ante bet if your hand is better than the dealer’s, while the dealer will have to qualify (with a pair of fours or better) in order for you to win on the Raise bet.

The Bonus bet will pay up to 100:1 on your wager if you make a particularly strong poker hand, regardless of how you do against the dealer or whether or not they qualify in the hand.

Casino Hold’em Poker is incredibly fun to play, very fast paced, and a game you may want to enjoy the next time you visit a US online casino for a quick gambling session.

#2 – Mississippi Stud Poker

Another legendary poker game you can play in online casinos nowadays is Mississippi Stud, a version of Five Card Stud poker you get to play against the casino.

In Mississippi Stud Poker, you are only dealt one hand, without the dealer dealing any cards to himself.

Instead, your goal is to make a poker hand as strong as possible, and get paid in accordance with a fixed paytable.

In Mississippi Stud Poker, you will start out by paying an Ante bet, and then adding a subsequent bet for every card you want to see, past your original two hole cards.

An extra Bonus bet is available as well, which pays out for the strength of the final three cards alone, which will be dealt out even if you decide to fold before they are, if this bet is active.

Mississippi Stud Poker is a pretty simple game to play and one that you will quickly get the hang of if you already enjoy poker.

However, keep in mind that it can be quite a high variance game in which you won’t win much until you strike a big hand and beat the house for the big bucks all at once.

#3 – Let It Ride Poker

A game fairly similar to Mississippi Stud Poker, Let It Ride Poker adds a little twist and gives you some extra betting opportunities.

The Ante bet will get you three cards in this one, after which you get to Let It Ride on your Turn and River bet, or pull those bet and only keep the Ante in play, depending on the value of your cards.

The Three Card Bonus bet will judge the value of your original three cards, while an extra Bonus bet is also in play for all the cards combined, offering some huge payouts, up to 20,000:1 on your Royal Flush.

Let It Ride Poker is a game where you can really spin up a massive win when you catch a good run of cards, while also having a ton of poker fun in the meantime.

#4 – Texas Hold’em Plus Poker

Texas Hold’em Plus is another variation on the classic game of Texas Hold’em Poker that allows you to play against the house and experience poker with less stress.

In Texas Hold’em Plus, you will pay a single Ante bet to get your hole cards, but will have to pay 2x the Ante to see the flop.

After the flop is dealt, turn and river cards can be seen for free, or you can choose to add another 1x Ante bet for each, if you have a strong poker hand.

While all subsequent bets are paid at even money if you simply beat the dealer, your Ante bet will only pay out according to a paytable for hands that are stronger than three of a kind, while other wins will be a push.

Texas Hold’em Plus Poker is fairly easy to play, but you will need to learn when to add extra bets, when to fold, and when to let the turn and river cards come in for free.

#5 – Jacks or Better Poker

For all the fans of video poker, all US online casinos offer at least a few video poker machines, and Jacks or Better is by far the most popular among them.

This simple variation of video poker allows you to get paid every time when you make a pair of Jacks, offers a single draw for all five of your cards, and does not include any wild cards.

As such, Jacks or Better is probably the simples of all video poker to learn how to play, and it’s also one of the most rewarding ones, with RTP set at over 99%.

If you are looking for a game that really pays well and that will not be too heavy on your bankroll, playing some simple Jacks or Better at your favorite online casino should do the trick.
