Get to Know the Poker Media: Paul Oresteen

The latest interviewee in our ongoing Get to Know the Poker Media series is Paul Oresteen. He was kind enough to open up to us about how he got his start in the poker industry and his work with Poker Central. As with anyone, however, what makes the story unique are the personal elements, and Paul’s story is truly one-of-a-kind.

We have no doubt you’ll enjoy getting to know him better, too.

Interview with Norman Chad

Together with my co-host Bruce Briggs, I recently had the great pleasure of interviewing ESPN poker commentator and funnyman Norman Chad on episode 282 of the Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast.

We put a lot of time and effort into doing research prior to the interview to ensure that we covered topics not yet explored in-depth via other interviews Norman has done over the years. As such, we were thrilled to get some great laughs and new stories from Norman in this almost hour-long interview.

Listen to the interview, which starts at the 3:45-minute mark. A transcript is also available.

Get to Know the Poker Media: Will O’Connor

While I take special pleasure in learning the stories of poker media’s industry veterans, I also enjoy getting to know more about relative newcomers, like Will O’Connor.

The Borgata blogger-cum-Poker Central writer was kind enough to agree to be the next interviewee in our Get to Know the Poker Media series. I sure enjoyed learning about his life and career, so I’m sure you will, too.

Interview with Clare Fitzgerald of Casino City

On Episode 278 of the Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast, my co-host, Bruce Briggs, and I interviewed Clare Fitzgerald, the Copy Chief at Casino City.

As she’s relatively new to the poker world, it was quite intriguing to follow her path from “completely unfamiliar” to “very into” the game we all know and love. Listen to the entirety of Episode 278 of the podcast, which includes the interview with Clare starting at the 23:33-minute mark. You can also read the summarized transcript.

Get to Know the Poker Media: Michael Gentile

pokerfuse is quite unique in the poker media world as its the rare breed (like this site) that doesn’t use the affiliate revenue model. As such, it’s stood proudly as an independent publication for over half a decade. The founder of said publication is Michael Gentile, with whom I’ve been fortunate enough to have developed quite a relationship over the years.

I’ve always wanted to know the story behind pokerfuse, the other sites and products in the pokerfuse family, and of course, Mike’s personal story as well.

I’m sure you’ll enjoy the story, as told to us by Mike in this latest “Get to Know the Poker Media” interview.
